Usually Calibration Behaviour
Jerky or clunky shifts at certain speeds. A delay when you press the accelerator. The gearbox hunts between gears on hills and the engine revs higher than expected while cruising. It behaves better once warm, no warning lights appear, and the car drives normally once moving. This usually indicates software behaviour rather than mechanical damage — fixable without opening the gearbox.
