Custom Vehicle Coding, Mileage Correction & Component Protection Removal
Vehicle Coding. Configured Properly.
Specialist vehicle coding, module configuration and Component Protection removal for replacement modules, retrofit installations and complex electronic repair work. We identify what the vehicle expects, configure the replacement hardware correctly and verify the system afterwards.
Replacing the Part Is Sometimes Only Half the Repair.
Modern control units are configured for the exact vehicle in which they are installed. Replacing a module with another compatible unit does not necessarily mean the vehicle will accept it immediately.
Depending on the platform, the vehicle may require coding, adaptation, parameterisation, Component Protection procedures, security matching or additional configuration before the replacement module functions as intended.
The aim is not simply to clear fault codes — it is to restore the correct relationship between the vehicle and its control modules.Coding, Configuration & Electronic Repair Support
Exact capability depends on manufacturer, model, control-unit generation and vehicle security architecture. Compatibility is confirmed before work is carried out.
Component Protection Removal
Assessment and legitimate Component Protection procedures after replacement of supported vehicle control units.
Replacement Module Coding
Configuration of compatible replacement modules so the control unit operates with the vehicle specification and installed equipment.
Retrofit Configuration
Coding and configuration following supported retrofits such as instrument clusters, lighting systems and compatible driver-assistance equipment.
Instrument Cluster Support
Coding, configuration and replacement-cluster assessment where supported by the vehicle platform.
Key & Immobiliser Systems
Diagnostic assessment and supported programming procedures for legitimate vehicle-security repairs and module replacement.
Headlight & Lighting Modules
Coding and configuration after replacement or repair of supported headlight, lighting and associated control modules.
Gateway & Network Configuration
Configuration and diagnosis where a newly installed module is not correctly recognised across the vehicle communication network.
Post-Repair Diagnostics
Investigation of warning lights, communication faults and coding inconsistencies following electrical or body repairs.
A Coding Fault and a Hardware Fault Can Look Very Similar.
Before changing configuration, we establish whether the problem is actually caused by coding, a communication fault, incorrect hardware, power or ground supply, damaged wiring, incompatible replacement equipment or another module on the vehicle.
Diagnose the network first. Configure it second.Tell Us What Was Replaced
Send the vehicle registration and explain what has been replaced, repaired or retrofitted. If possible, include the replacement-module part number and any fault codes currently stored.
Coding cannot make fundamentally incompatible hardware compatible. Correct part-number and vehicle compatibility should be established before configuration work begins.
From Replacement Part to Working Vehicle
Identify the Vehicle & Module
We check the registration, module type, replacement part number and symptoms before confirming the programming route.
Diagnose Before Changing Anything
Relevant communication, electrical and configuration faults are reviewed to establish whether coding is actually required.
Code / Adapt the Module
Where supported, the replacement component is configured, parameterised or adapted for the vehicle.
Verify the Repair
Fault memory and module behaviour are checked afterwards to confirm that the vehicle is communicating and operating as expected.
Volkswagen · Audi · SEAT · Škoda
Component Protection and module configuration are particularly common after replacement work on Volkswagen Group vehicles. We can assess supported infotainment, instrument, gateway, lighting and other electronic modules depending on vehicle generation and security architecture.
Typical Coding Enquiries
Component Protection Active
Warning or restricted function after installation of a supported replacement module.
Headlight Not Operating Correctly
Replacement lamp or lighting module fitted but configuration or communication remains incorrect.
Used Module Installed
Compatible replacement hardware fitted but vehicle-specific configuration is still required.
Retrofit Installed
New compatible equipment requires supported coding or configuration before full operation.
Cluster Replacement
Instrument-cluster replacement requiring compatibility assessment, configuration or programming.
Post-Repair Warning Lights
Vehicle repaired mechanically but electronic modules now report communication or configuration faults.
Coding Must Match the Vehicle and the Repair.
Vehicle-security and configuration procedures are carried out for legitimate repair, replacement and supported retrofit purposes. Proof of ownership, module information or additional vehicle details may be requested where appropriate.
Common Questions
What is Component Protection?
Component Protection is used on certain vehicle platforms to restrict operation of protected electronic modules when they are installed into another vehicle without the required authorised configuration or adaptation procedure.
Why does a replacement module need coding?
Many modern modules contain vehicle-specific configuration. Even when the hardware is compatible, the replacement may need to be configured for the vehicle's equipment, network and installed options.
Can you code a used module?
Sometimes. It depends on the vehicle, module type, hardware and security architecture. Send us the registration and photographs of the original and replacement part numbers for assessment.
Can coding fix a faulty module?
No. Coding cannot repair damaged electronics, wiring faults, incorrect power supplies or incompatible hardware. This is why the vehicle should be diagnosed before programming.
Do you support retrofit coding?
Yes, for supported vehicle platforms and compatible hardware. Availability depends on the retrofit, control-unit generation and vehicle specification.
Is the service mobile?
Many diagnostic and coding jobs can be completed mobile. More advanced programming, electronics or control-unit work may require workshop or post-in procedures.

Send Us the Registration. We'll Check What It Needs.
Include the replacement part number, what has been changed and any warning messages or fault codes currently present.
Mileage Data Correction. Supported Vehicle Search.
Legitimate mileage-data correction and instrument-cluster support following cluster replacement, ECU replacement, module repair or recorded-data errors. Coverage depends on vehicle model, year, instrument-cluster type and electronic architecture.
Depending on the vehicle, mileage or service-related information may also be stored or referenced by additional control units. The correct repair procedure therefore depends on the vehicle architecture and reason for the correction.
Search Supported Vehicles
Search by manufacturer, model, year or supported dashboard type. If your vehicle is not listed, send us the registration and we can check it manually.

The list is not necessarily our complete capability. Send the registration, model year and reason for the correction and we can check the vehicle manually.
Send Us the Registration. We'll Check the Cluster.
Include the vehicle registration, year and whether the enquiry relates to a replacement cluster, replacement ECU, module repair or an incorrect recorded value.
Vehicle Records Must Remain Accurate.
Mileage-data services are provided only for legitimate purposes such as instrument-cluster replacement, ECU/module replacement, repair recovery or correction of an incorrectly recorded value.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring the vehicle's mileage, service history, sale documentation and any other relevant records accurately reflect the vehicle's true history.
